Erik Hassle's "Natural Born Lovers" - Single Review

Dope. Amazing. Strong... just a few ways to describe the latest offering from Swedish singer-songwriter Erik Hassle. Following the release of the optimistic and adorable "No Words" earlier this year, and lending his vocals to Icona Pop's dance hit "Emergency", the newly shared "Natural Born Lovers" is a sultry and seductive pop-leaning track that focuses attention on the artist's unique vocal range.

"Natural Born Lovers" keeps on the same path of Hassle's more recent passionate and energetic releases, maintaining a wild fire that will never go out. While his previous single highlighted a relationship in its early stages, the new offering shows that sparks are definitely flying, especially in the bedroom. The artist commands attention with a controlled and hypnotic vocal performance that definitely conveys the red hot lyrical content as it was intended.

The vocal abilities of Hassle have never been called into question, he hits it out of the park every time, but on the new single he sounds even more confident and intense than ever before. "Set me on fire, let me inside again, I've been so lonely, yea, do what you want with me," he soulfully croons, capturing the heart of any listener.

Without the need for explicit language or crude suggestions, Hassle effortlessly seduces with a heartfelt plea for romance and pleasure. The captivating, slightly simple production assists in the dominating vibe of "Natural Born Lovers" and allows it to set itself far apart from anything currently ruling the charts. Hassle does not need to rely on gimmicks, tired trends or featured guests, just honest conviction and solid songwriting skills.

Hassle will continue to remain an underrated gem, sad yet true. However, "Natural Born Lovers" is another pristine, brilliant effort that will further allow music fans to discover his rare talents. The new single is promoting the upcoming Higher Ground, out in 2016, and along with "No Words", the sound that the artist is toying with is reminiscent of work from Justin Timberlake and Nick Jonas. Hassle is ready for you, are you ready for him?
